Check Out The Porsche 718 Cayman At The Podium This October 11-12

The Porsche 718 Cayman is showcased this weekend at the World of Supercars at The Podium. The event gives enthusiasts and guests a rare opportunity to view up close a sports car that continues Porsche’s mid-engine performance heritage.

Rooted in the racing legacy of the 1950s Porsche 718 RSK, the 718 Cayman carries on the tradition of compact, lightweight performance cars that deliver race-bred dynamics to everyday drives.

At the core of the 718 Cayman is a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four engine producing 300 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, enabling the sports car to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 km/h.

The 718 Cayman’s capability is defined by its balanced chassis and precise handling. A mid-engine layout results in ideal weight distribution, while Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) ensure exceptional agility and cornering stability.

Lightweight construction and refined aerodynamics contribute to the 718 Cayman’s engaging character, combining everyday usability with the unmistakable feel of a true sports car. The model’s coupe design further offers versatility for daily driving.

The 718 Cayman’s combination of balance, precision, and efficiency exemplifies Porsche’s success in translating motorsport technology to the road — making it a fitting highlight at the World of Supercars.

Along with this display, the World of Supercars also allows guests to learn more about “Trade In. Trade Up,” an ownership program through which vehicles purchased from PGA Cars (as well as from other brands) can be traded for a brand-new Porsche.

All trade-in units receive favorable valuation and immediate appraisal, with the process handled with the same professionalism that defines the Porsche ownership experience.

  1. Isn't it that it's gonna be replaced by a fully electric version? Would it be better to wait for the BEV version or buy the gas version now?
