Everything You Need To Know About The Philippine Market Mitsubishi Destinator (w/ Specs)

After opening reservations, revealing the pricing, and even bringing it around on “sighting” tours, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has finally launched the all-new 7-seater Destinator. Bridging the gap between the Xpander Cross and the Montero Sport, the Destinator blends the driving feel of an SUV with the versatility and practicality of an MPV.

How many variants, colors, and how much does it cost?

For the Philippine market, the Destinator comes in three variants: the GLX Turbo, the GLS Turbo, and the GT Turbo in the following colors:
  • Red Metallic – GLX
  • Blade Silver Metallic – GLX
  • Jet Black Mica – GLS, GT
  • Graphite Gray Metallic – GLX, GLS, GT
  • Lunar Blue Mica – GLS (Two-Tone w/ Black Roof for GT)
  • Quartz White Pearl – GLX, GLS (Two-Tone w/ Black Roof for GT)

In addition, MMPC is extending a Launch Event Promo exclusively for customers who will place reservation during the 4-day launch and test drive event at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay between November 20 to 23, 2025 and release their unit on or before January 31, 2026. Qualified customers will receive an additional P 5,000 cash discount on top of the introductory price promo.

To sweeten the deal even further, the Destinator packages an extended 2-year warranty coverage over the standard 3-year warranty (total of 5 years). Plus, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is even giving “Destinator Adventure Gear” merchandise. The introductory prices are in effect until January 31, 2026.

What’s under the hood?

The Mitsubishi Destinator is engineered to deliver confidence in every drive, wherever the road takes you. It comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter (4B40) 4-cylinder engine delivering 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

It also offers a best-in-class 214 mm of ground clearance and drawing from Mitsubishi’s rich rally heritage, it sports five selectable Drive Modes: Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud, and the new Tarmac Mode, ensuring optimal performance and stability in every road condition.

What’s with the design?

The Destinator continues to boast a commanding SUV-proportioned body with a strong stance that exudes confidence on any road. Its signature Dynamic Shield front fascia delivers a bold yet refined presence, while the stylish LED headlamps and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) enhance visibility on the road. These are complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.

What do you find inside?

It offers a spacious and roomy interior for seven people, providing ample room for growing families. Flexible utility and cargo configurations also make every trip effortless. High-quality materials and an ergonomic layout ensure a comfortable experience for every passenger.

The driver is treated to a monolithic display panel that combines the 12.3-inch Smartphone Display Audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a Smart Rear View Mirror for an unobstructed view from behind the vehicle, and an 8-inch Multi-Information Display.

Passengers can enjoy a luxurious and intuitive cabin experience, enhanced by the 64-color ambient lighting in both front and rear, a panoramic sunroof, and an 8-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium Audio System. Practical touches such as seatback tables on the second row, a Nanoe X air purification system, and a console box with cooling function elevate convenience and comfort.

The Destinator also debuts the Mitsubishi Connect, the brand’s first vehicle equipped with Connected Car Services (CCS) in the Philippines, giving drivers enhanced safety, convenience, and peace of mind.

Is it safe?

With the advanced safety technologies and Mitsubishi Motor’s commitment to durability and reliability, the Destinator was able to achieve the highest 5-Star safety rating in the ASEAN NCAP. Aside from a full suite of airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, and Active Yaw Control, it’s equipped with a 360-degree camera and even Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing—the brand’s very-own ADAS package.

  1. Hmm, so it is more spacious than similarly sized crossovers/SUVs but not as spacious as similarly sized MPVs like Innova/Zenix, yes? Seems to be an in-between MPV and SUV hybrid product.

  2. The introductory price should have been MSRP because the TOTL model isn't worth over P1.9M.

  3. What else did they remove besides the pano roof?

  4. All these are available in previous generation Chinese cars. Upgrade na to hybrid or phev nowadays. These gas guzzlers are a thing of the past.

Is this a good deal for PH customers serving as guinea pigs or need to ask the dealership a bit more like a 2-yr free compre insurance?
The tires seem aren't SUV-ish. The rubber should have been a bit chunkier. While the fuel tank capacity should have been above 50L. Previously, they introduced the Xpander with a "test ground" at MOA, hope they did the same here, but maybe a vlogger will feature this going on a road trip to Mapanuepe or some light offroading in Rizal soon.

  6. The blue one nails it.
That 214mm ground clearance is deceiving as the engine sits too low on the engine bay though.

  7. Gonna sell quite a bit but not gonna make a dent in its class. MMPC should release a hybrid version of these at the very least in order to be competitive.

    1. Hybrid version?Expect that to be very more expensive.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand is currently busy developing the Destinator Hybrid.

  8. I don't mind owning the base variant, pretty good value for money. Also, this seems to fit my personality more compared to mpvs. Now, just waiting for real life fuel consumption.

  9. Very good specs and prices of the Mitsubishi Destinator SUV.
Good luck to MMPC and may they sell thousand units of it annually in the Philippine market.

  10. Is PM 2.5 filter the aircon cabin filter? Does it mean the GLX does not come with a cabin filter?

    1. There is but its just a normal cabin filter

  11. I saw a display unit and had a chance to sit in it. Surprisingly, space felt very limited. It is nowhere near as spacious as the a proper MPV like the Innova and Zenix. Though features and interior build quality seemed nicer than the similarly priced MPVs. Even the Montero felt more spacious in the second and third row despite it's big ladder frame, minus the high floor. The Xforce has a much much more spacious second row since it does not have to make space for a third row.

    1. Its a seven seater crossover SUV meant to compete with the Geely Okavango,Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and others.
It's not meant to compete with the decade old Innova IMV and TNGA Zenix which are MPVs.

  12. feels like mitsubishi does not like airbags. only the TOTL has 6.

    1. As if the decade old Toyota Innova J,XE and E got six airbags.
      6 airbags is fine

    2. The GLX variant still have 6 airbag. Only difference between the GT and the lower variants is the side curtain airbag.

      Delete
    3. GLX and GLS has 4. Driver (1), passenger (1), side (2). The GT has the curtain (2).

  13. Mitsubishi Destinator is a very successful SUV already in Indonesia.
Won't be suprised if Toyota Astra Indonesia produce and sell a DNGA seven seater SUV based on the DNGA Yaris Cross.

    1. If Toyota will improve the DNGA Rush, this segment can be very competitive.

  14. Its officially an Xforce longwheelbase

same headlights and body with slight redesign

same as Creta 7 seater in India

  15. looks really good! no BS. however, mitsubishi is now strongly associated with 3rd world countries...

  16. It's a Mitsubishi. That's a nonstarter right there.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Mitsubishi seems to be a lot more aggresive with the marketing of this Destinator compared to the Triton and especially the Xforce. It's almost as if Mitsubishi themselves knew that the Xforce would flop.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Xforce now has a discount of 230k at dealership. Antay lang nang kunti sa 250k discount ng destinator

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Mitsubishi Destinator is already available at discounted prices.
Mitsubishi XForce GLS and GT variants are only heavily discounted in order to sell more units as the MSRP of the XForce GLS and GT are high.

    2. @anon Nov 23 11:49 am

The discounts for the Destinator are introductory discounts. Every car has that at launch.

      Delete
    3. Mitsubishi car dealerships won't give away additional huge cash discounts for the Destinator as MMPC is selling it at very low profit margins..Wag umasa 250,000 Peso cash discount dahil malabong mangyari yan according to my friend who owns a chain of Mitsubishi car dealerships for decades.

  19. I have seen this in SM megamall and the switches and stalks and battery clamps (so thin and poorly welded together) seem flimsy and easy to break.. the door rubber seals are also on the soft side (not good) the car looks good though.

    1. Not surprised, this is a 3rd world only crossover after all. The Jap legacy automakers are still missing the point, at these price points they should be offering hybrids and EVs already. If 1.5L turbo 5 seater sedans like the Civic get only 7 km/L in urban mileage, imagine what these heavier and less aerodynamic crossovers would get using the same drivetrain. JATCO CVTs are also still problematic when mated to high torque output engines, they're still the same old push belt system and sealed transmission housing, basically unrepairable and disposable.
