Before its public launch this November 20, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is taking its all-new Destinator on a set of “public sightings.” This marks the first opportunity Filipinos will have to take a closer look at the brand’s new three-row compact SUV.
The all-new Destinator introduces a bold, new styling, premium comfort, and advanced safety features that meets the evolving needs of Filipino families.
First revealed in its LTO homologation papers, the Destinator will come in two variants in the Philippine market: the Destinator GLS and the Destinator GT. Both variants are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder. The 4B40 engine makes 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This is mated to a CVT driving the front wheels. It incorporates Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control system to unlock five drive modes, including Tarmac, which is akin to a Sport mode, for the first time.
Some of the key specs include 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and Mitsubishi Connect—the brand’s very own in-car telematics system.
