Honda Is Taking Their Kei Car Global With The 2026 Super-One EV

Honda is taking its N Series kei car global with the Super-One. Shown at the Japan Mobility Show, the Super-One will go on sale not just in Japan by 2026, but other markets such as Asia and the U.K. (where it’ll be known as the Super-N).

Leveraging the lightweight and award-winning N Series kei car platform, the Super-One features prominently blistered fenders to fit wider tires. Visually, it helps emphasize a lower and wide stance, and because it incorporates front and rear air ducts, it enhances aerodynamic performance and cooling as well.

With its small size, the Super-One is all about sporty and nimble driving. Unlike the N Series, it comes with Boost Mode that increases the power output of the electric motor, while also synchronizing its simulated 7-speed transmission and Active Sound Control system. Active Sound Control produces and plays a “virtual” engine sound inside the cabin that syncs with the driver’s input of the accelerator and brake pedals. Further providing a tactile sensation, it switches the triple-gauge cluster and illumination color too.

Inside, the Super-One comes with front sport bucket seats. An asymmetric blue accent adds a playful tough. Moreover the horizontal orientation of the instrument panel reduces visual noise and realizes a clear field of vision which will enable the driver to focus more on driving.

    1. I hope these global kei-car releases encourage Kia to consider selling the Ray EV outside of Korea.

  2. it's high time they introduce kei cars globally. This should help their Europe business big time, it has been struggling a bit lately.
