Innovation Puts MG and SAIC in the Driver's Seat
It’s like a scene from the future. Hopping down in front of the SAIC Intelligent Plaza in cosmopolitan Shanghai, the streetscape is eerily quiet. As the Shanghainese enjoy the perks of owning an electric vehicle, the rush hour traffic didn’t have the usual sounds or smells of gasoline or diesel engines. The Ayala Group is keen on expanding its brand portfolio to include a Chinese brand, if a report from The Philippine STAR is to be believed. In its report yesterday, the STAR says that the Ayala Group is in talks with the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) to bring in the MG brand.
