Tim Wels Is Ford Philippines' New Managing Director


Ford Motor Company has announced the appointment of Tim Wels as managing director, Ford Philippines, effective November 1, 2026. Tim is currently general manager, Marketing and Strategy, Ford Australia. He will succeed Pedro Simoes who will be repatriating to the Middle East.

BYD Cars Philippines Sales Rise 99 Percent Year-On-Year With 28,399 Units Sold


BYD Cars Philippines has sold 28,399 units from January to August 2026. This eight-month performance represents a 99 percent year-on-year increase, and has already carried the brand past its full-year 2025 total (26,122 units) a full four months ahead of schedule. In August alone, BYD sold 4,682 units.
