More trouble looks to be brewing for Inchcape Philippines. In the same month that they announced the sale of their Mazda retail operations to Bermaz Auto Philippines, they’ve now announced that they’re ceasing the distribution of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram (CDJR) as well.
By end June 2027, the partnership between Inchcape Philippines and Stellantis, the parent company of CDJR, will end, which means that Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will no longer be handled by Inchcape after that effective date. This comes three years since Inchcape took over the brands from CATS.
The decision reflects the company’s ongoing portfolio management strategy. During the transition period, Inchcape Philippines will still be offering and continuing aftersales service and parts support to the existing customers of CDJR products through its authorized CDJR dealerships.

The decision to drop CDJR may not be the last bad news for Inchcape Philippines as whispers in the grapevine has them also losing Changan and Mercedes-Benz as well. This comes at a time when the distributor has been seeing its sales tank drastically. Year-to-date 2026 sales see Changan, Jaguar Land Rover, and Mercedes-Benz all having double digit sales declines of -16.6 percent, -45.3 percent, and -27.8 percent respectively. CDJR has stopped reporting its sales to CAMPI in 2026.
For his part, Alex Hammett, Inchcape Managing Director for South Asia & Pacific, is assuring that Inchcape remains committed to the Philippine market and that the moves are simply “an indication of the group's efforts to focus on bringing in new brands and products that have the right offerings in terms of pricing to meet the needs of the Filipino motorist.”
Hammett also disclosed that they are currently in talks with different new brands that will beef up Inchcape Philippines’ local portfolio. Although he’s not at liberty to name the specific brands just yet, rumors are linking them to Chinese premium brand, Xpeng.
Going back to CDJR, things remain uncertain as to whether Stellantis is already in talks with another local group to take over the rights to sell and service the CDJR brands after June 2027.
