The Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) reached out to help the community of Barangay Lagao, General Santos City who were severely affected by a powerful earthquake that struck the Mindanao region last June.
Representatives from the foundation and over 20 Honda associates based in Davao personally repacked and distributed relief goods for 500 affected families. The operation was conducted in coordination with and supported by the local government.
Mr. Hidekazu Arai, President of HFI and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) said, “We would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the victims of the recent earthquake. Through this donation, Honda hopes to remind the community that they are in our thoughts. We would like to help ease their burdens and we hope for everyone’s swift recovery.”
