Here Are Your 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup Race Weekend 2 Results

The second race weekend of the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Cup (TGR Philippine Cup) is in the books.

The leg, which happened at the Clark International Speedway last July 9 to 11, saw Toyota Motor Philippines transform its premier racing series into a rolling laboratory to test low-carbon biofuels. This makes Toyota Motor Philippines the first car manufacturer locally to test the use of biofuels for motorsports.

The racecars competing that weekend in the Vios One-Make Races used an E20 bio-ethanol blend, while the Tamaraw One-Make Races used a B5 coco-biodiesel blend. In addition to being low-carbon alternatives, the use of these biofuels supports Philippine energy security and agricultural sector development, as it helps reduce petroleum importation while sourcing biofuel products from feedstock grown by local coconut and sugarcane farmers.

“Using biofuels matters because first, it helps make our fuel supply more stable. If we can produce more of what we need locally, we are less affected by problems happening far away. Second, it supports our farmers. By using more coconut-based fuel, we create more demand for what they produce,” said TMP President Masando Hashimoto.

  1. I hope they race with true pure-bred GR cars in the future.
