Toyota Motor Philippines is going big by announcing that the GR GT supercar is heading to the Philippines.
Confirmed at a press conference at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup, the GR GT is a standalone model under the Gazoo Racing line-up. The GR GT is a supercar developed as a road-legal racecar. It promises to provide the ultimate driving experience centered on three key ingredients: a low center of gravity, low weight with high rigidity, and heightened aerodynamic performance.
The GR GT feature new technologies and manufacturing methods, including Toyota’s first all-aluminum body frame and a 4.0-liter liter, V8 hybrid twin-turbo engine with dry sump lubrication. In total, it’ll make 650 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque or more.
From there, the GR GT features a 1,750-kilogram curb weight thanks to an all-aluminum body frame as well as the use of carbon fiber and 45-55 front-to-rear weight distribution thanks to the careful positioning of its powertrain componentry.
Measuring in at 4,820 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,195 mm in height (wheelbase is 2,725 mm), the GR GT’s styling is done for aerodynamic performance and cooling. In fact, designers established and finalized these metrics first before applying any of the exterior styling elements.
Interior styling, as well, was done based solely on ergonomics and at achieving the optimal driving position from a professional driver’s perspective and visibility needed for at-the-limit driving without detriment to its suitability for road-going use.
Globally, the GR GT is being targeted for retail sales starting in 2027. It is very likely that the two-seater supercar will cost north of USD 200,000 (P 12.289 million).

That means the GR GT will cost around 20-25m after taxš¤·š»♂️
ReplyDeleteRemember under JPEPA import tariffs for 3.0 liters and above from Japan are Zero percent. That means any patong will be VAT and how much profit Toyota PH dealers want, but I think will still be reasonable given how many Landcruisers are rolling around.
DeleteThe pricing of the newly released LC300 Hybrid does not inspire confidence.
Deleteš«£But Toyota critics always say that it only makes boring cars
ReplyDeletePag ito di lumagpas 15m ang presyo pagdating dito sa pinas, bibili ako ng wigo
