BYD Is Targeting To Have More Dealers Than Toyota Around The Philippines By End 2025
BYD is targeting to overtake Toyota in the number of operational dealerships by the end of 2025. The world’s number one New Energy Vehicle brand, distributed in the Philippines by ACMobility, plans to have 77 operational dealerships by the end of the year. Currently they have 29. In contrast, Toyota Motor Philippines has 74 around the country.

VinFast PH To Rival Tesla, ACMobility With Plans To Open Own EV Charging Network, Dealership Expansion Plans
VinFast Philippines has announced ambitious expansion plans in the local market. The Vietnamese carmaker has targets to expand to over 60 locations in the country and will open their own EV charging network to rival Tesla and even ACMobility courtesy of its independently run subsidiary, V-Green.

How Many Cars Does Toyota Produce In Santa Rosa, Laguna?
Toyota has made the headlines by dominating new car sales in the Philippines. Last February alone, Toyota managed to sell 18,528 units, good enough for a 47.3 percent market share. These figures, impressively, are nine percent higher year-on-year and 2 percent higher month-on-month. For the first two months, their sales tally has already reached 36,606 units—an 11 percent growth for 2025 so far. But just how many of these vehicles are made at the Santa Rosa, Laguna plant?

New Car Sales Rose 2.9 Percent Last February As Toyota Dominates With 47.3% Market Share
New car sales last February rose marginally from 38,072 units in 2024 to 39,164 units—a 2.9 percent year-on-year increase. And despite having fewer calendar days, it’s a 4.1 percent increase versus January 2025’s figures.

New Car Sales Rose 10 Percent In January As Premium Brands Struggle
New car sales are off to a bullish start with a 10 percent year-on-year increase. Based on the joint report of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), a total of 37,604 vehicles were sold in January, 10.4 percent higher than 34,060 units sold in January 2024.

Toyota is once again the best-selling car brand in the world beating the Volkswagen Group.
