Most of the attention may have centered on the Navara Pro PHEV for Nissan, but another recognizable nameplate makes a comeback: the Primera. The re-launch of Nissan Philippines’ BEV efforts, the Primera delivers premium comfort and advanced technology in the executive sedan class.
Measuring in at 4,930 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,487 mm in height (2,915 mm wheelbase), the Primera is competing squarely in the executive sedan class. As such, it features an elevated sense of aesthetics, focusing on balanced form and proportions. It has full LED lighting with sequential turn signal indicators, an illuminated emblem, and frameless doors with flushed door handles.
Underneath, the Primera is powered by a single permanent magnet synchronous motor offering 218 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque. A 58-kWh LFP battery offers up to 500 kilometers of NEDC range and can be charged using both AC (Type 2) and DC (CCS). With peak charging speeds of up to 150 kW, it can replenish its battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 19 minutes.
Inside, the Primera elevates comfort thanks to its spacious layout and bevy of technology features. This includes a panoramic glass roof, ergonomic Zero Gravity seats with front seat massagers, customizable ambient lighting, wireless charging, an in-car camera, and a 15.6-inch central display with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and built-in online navigation.
The Primera also comes with Nissan ProPILOT ADAS and MyNissan Connect which adds Bluetooth Key functionality as well as other remote functions, emergency call, vehicle health status, and car locator.
Only one variant of the Primera is being offered, but it does come in three colors: Radiant Silver Metallic, Obsidian Black Pearl, and Glacier White Pearl. All variants have the gray interior. Pricing is set at P 2,099,000 with an introductory discount of P 100,000. This brings the price down to P 1,999,000 until December 31, 2026.
