Toyota Motor Philippines is now bringing added conveniences to all-new Hilux owners though the next-generation myToyota Connect featuring Toyota Remote.
From preparing a comfortably cool cabin before getting onboard, checking whether the doors are safely locked, or simply finding where they parked their car are some of the new features found in the new myToyota Connect with Toyota Remote.
Returning to your pickup after an afternoon outdoors? With remote air-conditioning control, eligible Hilux owners can switch the A/C on or off through Toyota Remote to help prepare a comfortable cabin temperature before stepping inside.
Next-gen myToyota Connect also makes it easier to check on the vehicle once it is parked. Through their phone, owners can view the status of the doors, windows, and lights, helping them spot anything that may need attention. Hilux owners can now even remotely lock their vehicles without having to walk back to the parking areas. The doors can also be remotely unlocked when needed.
Finding the vehicle in a busy parking area is easier with GPS-based Find My Car, while activating the horn or flashing the hazard lights can help owners spot their Toyota when nearby. Geofence alerts notify owners when the vehicle travels outside a designated area, and anti-theft notifications can alert them to unauthorized entry.
In the event of suspected theft, customers can contact support for assistance with stolen vehicle tracking and remote immobilization, subject to applicable service conditions. Immobilization is an assistance-supported feature, not a function for stopping a moving vehicle through the app.
Through e-Care, vehicle health warnings help owners stay informed when their Toyota may need attention, giving them a prompt to seek advice and address concerns. Whether preparing for the daily commute or heading out on a longer drive, having this information within reach makes it easier to keep vehicle care part of the routine. Access to 24/7 customer assistance also gives owners a way to ask for support, while 24/7 roadside assistance helps them seek help when an unexpected concern or breakdown interrupts a journey.
For customers planning their next stop, the charging and fuel station map helps locate places to recharge or refuel, depending on vehicle applicability. This can be particularly useful when traveling through an unfamiliar area or preparing for a longer trip, allowing owners to identify possible stops along the route and plan around their vehicle’s needs.
Connected ownership can bring opportunities to save through CTI, a Pay-How-You-Drive insurance offering that considers how a vehicle is driven and how far it travels. Through Connected Toyota Insure (CTI), driving habits and mileage can contribute to potential insurance renewal savings (subject to applicable terms).
The vehicle’s built-in connected device monitors mileage and driving behavior, including harsh braking, harsh acceleration and harsh cornering. Driving data is used to calculate a personalized Driving Score. This score, together with mileage, helps determine potential savings at insurance renewal, giving customers a reason to understand the habits behind their everyday journeys.
CTI will soon be available through participating Toyota Insure partners, giving customers an opportunity to earn insurance renewal premium savings based on their driving habits. Customers may qualify for savings up to 25 percent on the driving-related perils portion of their insurance premium only, based on their Driving Score and mileage over an eight-month driving period, subject to terms and conditions.
Connected services extend to other eligible Toyota models through Basic myToyota Connect, which includes features such as Find My Car, geofence alerts and Trip Recorder, depending on model applicability. Owners of the earlier Hilux models, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross, Camry, Zenix, Hiace, Fortuner, Alphard, earlier RAV4 models, Land Cruiser Prado, and Land Cruiser can ask their dealership which services their vehicle supports. These basic features are distinct from the Next-Gen mTC and Toyota Remote features highlighted for eligible all-new Hilux customers.
“We want our customers to feel supported long after they drive home their Toyota. Next-Gen mTC featuring Toyota Remote helps eligible All-New Hilux owners prepare for a drive, check on their vehicle, and access assistance through their phone,” said Elijah Sue Marcial, Toyota Motor Philippines First Vice President for Vehicle Operations. “We encourage customers to download the myToyota App and Toyota Remote App and consult their preferred Toyota dealership about eligibility and available services.”
To get started, download the myToyota App and Toyota Remote App from the App Store or Google Play to access applicable features. Toyota Remote is accessible through myToyota Connect in the myToyota App. Customer registration and log-in information for Toyota Remote is processed through the myToyota App.
