GWM Philippines closed August 2026 with a new monthly sales record selling 232 units—this is more than twice the brand’s previous monthly high of 100 units recorded in June 2026.
Helping the brand grow its presence is the GWM Haval H7 which served as the key driver of the result. Combining capable performance, efficiency, premium features, and competitive value, the SUV has become one of the key models contributing to the brand’s momentum in the country.
“August’s numbers are the clearest signal yet that Filipino motorists are ready for what the Haval H7 offers,” said Dax Avenido, Brand Head, GWM Philippines. “Since launch, we’ve seen this vehicle resonate the way we hoped it would - a genuinely capable, well-priced SUV that doesn’t ask buyers to choose between efficiency and performance. Doubling our own sales record in just two months tells us this demand is real, and we’re building our operations to sustain it through the rest of the year.”
GWM Philippines is building on the August sales milestone by strengthening its operations to support growing demand for its vehicles. The company is working closely with its dealer network to improve vehicle availability and ensure that customers across the country receive a consistent ownership experience.
The new monthly sales record adds to GWM Philippines’ momentum in the local market as the brand continues to expand its lineup and make its vehicles more accessible to Filipino motorists.
With the Haval H7 playing a key role in August’s performance, GWM Philippines remains focused on bringing vehicles that offer advanced technology, practical features, strong performance, and competitive value to the Philippine market.

Hope they’ll stay consistent with introducing the right product (right price) for PH market. If they can offer the ORA 5 BEV at below 1.4 million, it could potentially become their 2nd volume model in their portfolio. Hope they could also introduce its HEV variant in the same price level as the J5 HEV. That would be very compelling.
