Shell Lubricants has been confirmed for a record 20th time as the number one best-selling global lubricants supplier. This two-decade run of industry leading momentum was recognized in the latest edition of Kline & Company’s report, Global Lubricants: Market Analysis and Assessment.
In the report, which covers all leading lubricant-consuming country markets, market segments, product types, and formulations, Shell has maintained its status as the leading global supplier of automotive and industrial oils and fluids. Shell retains its number one ranking across the three main lubricants categories tracked by Kline: consumer automotive, commercial automotive, and industrial.
Jason Wong, Global Executive Vice President of Shell Lubricants said, “Today’s award is not just about retention; it is about 20 years of intentional focus on building momentum for our business and our customers. It reflects two decades of dedication from our team in supplying the right lubricant and fluid solutions for friction and thermal management to our consumer, commercial and industrial customers.”
“Over the last 20 years, our advances have powered performance for everyday drivers, critical industrial sectors, and even Formula 1 engines. We’re proud to power the world’s progress with our brand, technology, and people. Our focus now is looking forward, ensuring we continue to play a leading role in providing the lubricants and fluid solutions of tomorrow,” continued Wong.
Annie Jarquin, VP of Energy at Kline & Company said, “The lubricants market has evolved significantly over the past two decades, and Shell’s position as market leader is due to their combination of consistency and adaptability, all whilst maintaining their global reach.”
