Mazda Is The Official Automotive Partner For Michelin Guide Manila 2027

Mazda Philippines is the official automotive partner for the Michelin Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu 2027.

The partnership brings together two brands that share a deep appreciation for passion, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and thoughtful hospitality.

For Mazda, this resonates with Omotenashi—the Japanese spirit of thoughtful hospitality and creating meaningful experiences.

“The finest experiences are defined by thoughtful details, genuine hospitality, and the passion to make every encounter feel truly valued. This is the spirit of Omotenashi, a philosophy that resonates deeply with Mazda and the way we approach every experience we create,” said Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda Philippines.

This year’s ceremony also carries added historical significance, falling within the year the global gastronomy community commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Michelin Star. Since the introduction of the Michelin Star rating system in 1926, the Michelin Guide has continued to honor culinary mastery and recognize restaurants that deliver outstanding dining experiences.

The ceremony is also an opportunity to spotlight what each distinction represents. The Michelin Star, awarded as One Michelin Star, Two Michelin Stars, or Three Michelin Stars, recognizes the very best of culinary excellence. Bib Gourmand highlights restaurants offering good quality, good value cooking and is widely regarded as one of the Michelin Guide's most popular distinctions among local diners across Asia. Michelin Selected restaurants are establishments that meet the Guide’s rigorous standards and are worthy of a visit.

The Michelin Guide Restaurant Ceremony Manila and Environs & Cebu 2027 will be held on October 29, 2026 celebrating the people and establishments shaping the Philippines’ culinary landscape. The awarding will be broadcast via livestream as well.

  1. More fluff that doesn't add meaningful value to the brand. I for one, don't care about Michelin-rated places unless I've known them before. That is to say, I'd like my food cooked, rather than "prepared" or "assembled."

    1. Thank you for your comment that may have or may not have added meaningful value to the topic of this article.

Nothing says anti-pretentious like really emphasizing how unnecessary all the extra effort it takes to to be recognized in the realm of food and service.

    3. Anonymous 2:47 PM is entitled to have his/her opinion and preference, but I think it's for Mazda Philippines to decide whether this partnership adds value to its brand. Value is subjective.
