Ford Philippines launches the revised Ranger and Everest family featuring sharper designs, smarter technology, more performance, and a trimmed down line-up.
For 2027, the 2.0-liter bi-turbo has been discontinued in favor of a single-turbo 2.0-liter turbo diesel producing 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque. It gets an updated fuel injection system, and more importantly, a swap from a wet timing belt to a timing chain. Meanwhile, the Ranger gets a standard 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel producing 250 horsepower at 3,250 rpm and 600 Nm from 1,750 to 2,250 rpm.
Also making its exit is the 6-speed automatic as the 10-speed automatic is now standard across all variants of the Ranger and Everest. Offering real-time adaptive shift scheduling, it ensures that the vehicle is always in the right gear at the right time.
Further optimizing the handling and ride of the Ranger, the Wildtrak X comes with Bilstein shock absorbers with position sensitive damping. This helps control the shock absorber’s rebound, making it soft in the middle (for pliant-ness) and firm at the end (for added control when going over a deep hole or large bump).
A refreshed design treatment greets the MY2027 Everest and Ranger. Gloss and matte black exterior accents replace the outgoing models’ gray or chrome inserts. Updated wheel designs complete the changes.
In terms of variants, Ford has also consolidated the line-up. The Ranger now caters primarily to the lifestyle crowd dropping the XLT, XLS, and even Sport trims. Instead it goes all in with the Wildtrak, Wildtrak X, and Raptor all with 4x4 with electronic rear locking differentials.
The Ranger Wildtrak X features a raised ride height, 17-inch Wildtrak X alloy wheels, metal underbody protection, a bash plate, and skid plate for added protection over rough terrain. It has a 12.4-inch driver display, a 12-inch infotainment screen with a 10-speaker B&O sound system, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and a 360-degree camera.
For 2027, the Ranger Raptor has been updated with Ford app compatibility.
Meanwhile, the Everest drops the Trend and Sport for the Everest Active, Everest Sport+, Everest Wildtrak, and the Everest Platinum.
The Everest Active starts out with 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, dual zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and a 12-inch infotainment system. Moving up to the Everest Sport, it gets 20-inch alloy wheels, two-tone leather seating, a 360-degree camera, and a full ADAS suite. The Wildtrak 4x4, on the other hand, has selectable drive modes, Terrain Management System, and a unique Wildtrak exterior and interior highlights that add orange accents. Finally, the Everest Platinum 4x4 has a panoramic sunroof along with quilted power adjustable heated/ventilated front seats with memory settings for the driver. Also exclusive to the range-topping variant are Matrix LED headlights, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a gloss black roof.
The 2027 Ranger is priced at:
- Ranger Wildtrak 3.0 V6 4x4 – P 2,469,000
- Ranger Wildtrak X 3.0 V6 4x4 – P 2,609,000
- Ranger Raptor 3.0 V6 Twin Turbo 4x4 – P 2,879,000
Meanwhile, the 2027 Everest is priced at:

ReplyDeleteChinese car lover?
DeleteFoolish of Ford to drop the lower-end trims of the Ranger.
ReplyDeleteThe Ranger Wildtrak still has lower compared to the current Hilux GR-S, and the Ranger Wildtrak X has even lower price compared to the new Hilux Conquest 4x4.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the Everest Sport and Wildtrak are a bit disappointment since they still have the single turbo engine that is less powerful and has less torque yet they are priced more expensive compared to their competitors.
Is it true that the oil pump is still wet belt driven? Or have they not disclosed that information?
ReplyDeleteayan na naman yung mga malalaking sasakyang sagabal sa daan, sa parking lots, at sa residential streets (mga naka-suv/pick up pero walang garahe).
ReplyDelete- vios owner LOL
No 2027 pricing for XL, XLS, XLT, Sport?
ReplyDeleteDropping the lower variants of the Ranger sure is a headscratcher. Surely just not updated for 2027? Or fully discontinued talaga?
