Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) reached a sales milestone last September. Last month, it has sold 1,023 vehicles—the first time it has crossed the 1,000-unit mark in a single month.
This performance marks the highest single-month sales volume in the company’s history since commencing operations as a direct subsidiary of Geely Auto International. Pending official data from CAMPI-TMA members, it could potentially mean Geely broke into the Top 5 in terms of new vehicle sales.
Two electrified models led the month. The all-electric Geely EX2 recorded 470 units, while the Geely EX5 EM-i Super Hybrid added 345 units. Together, they made up nearly 80 percent of September volume, a clear sign of growing Filipino demand for Geely’s new energy vehicles.
The complete breakdown of September 2026 sales by model is as follows:
- Geely EX2 – 470 units
- Geely EX5 EM-i – 345 units
- Geely Okavango – 76 units
- Geely Coolray – 53 units
- Geely EX5 – 31 units
- Geely GX3 Pro – 26 units
- Geely Emgrand – 22 units
GMP expects this momentum to continue through the rest of 2026, supported by two key developments in the coming months.
First, the company is preparing for the local launch of the Geely Monjaro EM-i, its flagship Super Hybrid SUV, which brings electrified performance and premium comfort to Filipino families and executives. The fully-loaded mid-size 5-seater PHEV is expected to be priced at around P 2- to P 2.5-million.
Furthermore, the company’s market footprint will be significantly amplified by the strategic inclusion of Lynk & Co as an official brand operated by Geely Motor Philippines. This expansion diversifies the company’s portfolio, allowing it to cater to a broader audience seeking premium, globally-minded automotive lifestyle solutions.
