Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) reached a sales milestone last September. Last month, it has sold 1,023 vehicles—the first time it has crossed the 1,000-unit mark in a single month.
This performance marks the highest single-month sales volume in the company’s history since commencing operations as a direct subsidiary of Geely Auto International. Pending official data from CAMPI-TMA members, it could potentially mean Geely broke into the Top 5 in terms of new vehicle sales.
Two electrified models led the month. The all-electric Geely EX2 recorded 470 units, while the Geely EX5 EM-i Super Hybrid added 345 units. Together, they made up nearly 80 percent of September volume, a clear sign of growing Filipino demand for Geely’s new energy vehicles.
The complete breakdown of September 2026 sales by model is as follows:
- Geely EX2 – 470 units
- Geely EX5 EM-i – 345 units
- Geely Okavango – 76 units
- Geely Coolray – 53 units
- Geely EX5 – 31 units
- Geely GX3 Pro – 26 units
- Geely Emgrand – 22 units
GMP expects this momentum to continue through the rest of 2026, supported by two key developments in the coming months.
First, the company is preparing for the local launch of the Geely Monjaro EM-i, its flagship Super Hybrid SUV, which brings electrified performance and premium comfort to Filipino families and executives. The fully-loaded mid-size 5-seater PHEV is expected to be priced at around P 2- to P 2.5-million.
Furthermore, the company’s market footprint will be significantly amplified by the strategic inclusion of Lynk & Co as an official brand operated by Geely Motor Philippines. This expansion diversifies the company’s portfolio, allowing it to cater to a broader audience seeking premium, globally-minded automotive lifestyle solutions.

Just a matter of time before Geely EX5 Emi overtakes BYD’s SL6. the EX5 Emi MAX undercut SL6 price by 150k net of discount while the base variant EX5 Emi has same price as the uninspiring byd SL5
ReplyDeleteLack of a mobile app from Geely is a big, fat NAH! for me. The XPeng L03 PowerX REEV is where my money will be going.
DeleteNah, I prefer geely anyway. I will just doubt xpeng until the auto focus pre Christmas test drive.
DeleteFool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. What about people who are fooled thrice, what are they called?
DeleteThey are called masochists
DeleteGeely is back 👍
ReplyDeleteAfter sales support will be key if they want to continue their surge. Build brand loyalty.
ReplyDeleteNext year will mark 2 years of Geely being in-charge of PH operations; the majority of complaints (which you can check on social media) date back to early 2025, at the latest. Since then, medyo silent na sa complaints; which is a good thing when you're talking about problems.
DeleteNow Geely is coming back stronger, plus the launch of Monjaro will only propel them further.. In time people will notice Lynk&Co too..
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Geely also folds Zeekr’s distribution into One Geely. No offense to the Autohub Group, but their focus seems to be somewhere else. Incidentally, I bumped into the Autohub honcho himself at the dealer briefing of XPeng during the brand’s launch at MOA Arena, perhaps hinting at an XPeng Autohub dealership soon.
DeleteGeely PH should always update its website
ReplyDeleteI hope they will be more careful with cultivating the brand now that they are gaining traction again in the market.
ReplyDeleteGeely should update its sales promotion at its website
