Mazda Reveals A 2027 CX-5 Easter Egg As Autoexe Shows Off 2 Distinct Styling Kits

Well, that didn’t take long. Less than six months after its Japanese market debut, specialist tuner Autoexe has already come up with a styling kit for the third-generation CX-5. Best news? Mazda Philippines is confirmed to be bringing it in.

Before that, let’s talk about one CX-5 easter egg that almost no one’s talking about: the red accent found within the headlight bezel.

Since its local launch and drive (read our first impressions or watch it on YouTube), some people have pointed out the red accent found within the CX-5’s kigumi-inspired LED headlights.

At a glance, it looks functional, but believe it or not, it’s an easter egg; probably the first for the CX-5 series. It looks like a small rectangle, but when viewed from the side, that red rectangle actualy has the number “5” engraved on it. For a company that’s so hellbent on a “less is more” attitude when it comes to design, the inclusion of an easter egg is like a breath of fresh air.

You can try to spot the red accent in the photos of the CX-5 in this story (there’s even a close up), but in case you missed it, you can check it out for yourself when you visit your nearest Mazda dealership.

Now that’s out of the way, it’s time to talk about the Autoexe styling kit.

Although Mazda Philippines has yet to confirm which particular parts they plan to bring in, Autoexe has shown off two distinct styling kits for the 2027 CX-5 (KM): the KM-07 and the KM-07AX.

Of the two, the KM-07 is supposed to elevate the sense of dynamism found in the CX-5’s Kodo design language. Leveraging on the piano black accents found on the fenders and side skirts, Autoexe added some aggression with more protruding front and rear under spoilers (with diamond-cut panels), sharpened side under spoilers, and a long-tail style roof-mounted spoiler with stabilizer fins. The transformation’s completed by side window visors, a carbon fiber finished door handle set, and a currently in-development quad tail pipes.

On the other hand, the KM-07AX takes on a very different approach. Standing for “Active Xross” it is meant to unlock the “spirit of adventure.” The styling kit removes the gloss black accents and replaces it with silver metallic and matte black ones. The front features rectangular LED front fog lights, while the rear under garnish and tailgate garnish both contribute to give the CX-5 a more rugged stance. Large mud flaps, exclusive decals, and a large diameter dual tailpipe exhaust system complete the transformation. Even better, Autoexe has confirmed that it’s working on a lift kit for the all-new CX-5 to give it better ground clearance.

Lift kit aside, Autoexe has also shown performance parts such as a strut tower bar, intake suction kit, oil filler and brake fluid caps, and a wheel nut set with red end caps.

Do you like the all-new CX-5 with these styling kits?
