Toyota Motor Philippines invites the public to visit its spaces at the 1st Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) and 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). Both events will be held on October 22 to 24, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Toyota will be presenting its different mobility options that caters to different customer lifestyles at the two events. Customers at the PITS will see Toyota unveil its newest Tamaraw conversion, the Tamaraw MPUV. While at the PEVS, customers will get the chance to see and experience Toyota and Lexus electric vehicles up close for themselves.
There will be test drives during both events where customers can try out Toyota’s wide range of vehicles and discover the perfect ride for them.
At the Philippine EV Summit, Toyota is ready to showcase electric mobility with proven quality, durability, and reliability (QDR) through the widest lineup of electrified vehicles consisting of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Customers can also expect to learn about Toyota’s pioneering efforts in introducing EVs to Filipinos.
Multiple Toyota electrified vehicles will be displayed at the brand’s booth. Customers can expect to see the bZ4X battery EV, Hilux battery EV, Zenix hybrid EV, and the Corolla Cross hybrid EV in the metal.
Additionally, customers can also expect to see the Lexus ES HEV and Lexus RZ BEV on display. For customers looking to test drive Toyota’s electrified offerings, Toyota will be offering more than ten of their electrified vehicles from their wide lineup of electrified cars.
“We have been pioneering electric vehicle technology in the country since we locally introduced the Toyota Prius back in 2009. Many Prius units are still being used today, a testament to the longevity of Toyota’s EVs and quality, reliability, and durability. When customers choose to start their EV journey with Toyota, we can guarantee the peace of mind and seamless after-sales services to all our customers,” said TMP Marketing Division Senior Vice President Sherwin Chua-Lim.
At the Philippine International Truck Show, Toyota is publicly unveiling its newest Tamaraw conversion: the Tamaraw MPUV. Positioned as a “National Car,” the next-generation Tamaraw MPUV is set to bring Toyota’s QDR to the public transportation sector.
First previewed at Toyota’s Santa Rosa manufacturing plant, the Tamaraw MPUV is a culmination of Toyota creating a public transport vehicle that listens to the needs of transport operators, local government units, and government offices. The addition of the MPUV conversion is Toyota’s commitment of a vehicle for the transport sector that is built by Filipinos, for the Filipinos.
“The Tamaraw truly is a blank canvas, taking different forms to help people realize their dreams. We are happy—and proud—to build it… Through the Tamaraw MPUV, let us bring our strengths together to make everyday life better—for commuters, transport operators, and communities. That is how we want to contribute to the Philippines: by delivering something people can use, depend on, and truly value in their daily lives,” shared Toyota Motor Philippines President Masando Hashimoto.
Alongside the unveiling of the Tamaraw MPUV, Toyota will be displaying multiple conversions of the Toyota Tamaraw. Customers will get the chance to see Tamaraw Freezer Van, GL Dropside, Utility Van, Food Truck, and Fire Truck conversions of the iconic workhorse. Additionally, the Tamaraw Utility Van and GL Dropside will be available for public test drives for customers.
Toyota’s presence in both this year’s PITS and PEVS is attributed to its diverse vehicle lineup of cars ranging from fuel-efficient internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEs) to EVs. The brand’s lineup allows it to cater to customers with different lifestyles, ensuring that there is a Toyota for everyone.
