Women's World Car Of The Year Wants To Draw Attention To Role Of Women In Motorsports


Women’s World Car of the Year celebrates June 24th, International Women Drivers’ Day, by drawing attention to the role of women in motorsports. A survey led by Belgian analyst Candice Bouzendorff revealed that 17.9 percent of respondents don’t know any female motorsports drivers, while 28.5 percent approve of separate categories based on gender. The study also found that 29.6 percent of those interviewed don’t even know if women work in motorsports.

It was an emotional moment for the 18-year-old as Lupang Hinirang, the Philippine national anthem, was played for the very first time in her professional career during the podium ceremony at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain after securing a maiden victory in Race 2 on Saturday.

Bianca Bustamante Shines With Podium On F1 Academy Debut


The very first season of the F1 Academy series kicked off in the Styrian mountains, in wet and cold conditions on April 28th. Prema Racing team’s Bianca Bustamante had a rollercoaster weekend with the highs of a first career podium in Race 1 contrasted by an anticlimactic Race 3, being unable to start due to a technical issue with her gearbox. However, the weekend was an overall positive for the young Filipina, with a solid qualifying performance and commendable race pace to take a healthy points haul and put herself sixth in the driver standings after Round 1 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.

Subaru To Race All-New WRX At Nürburgring 24 Hours


Subaru and motorsports division, STI, will once again participate at the 51st Nürburgring 24 Hours Race using, what else, but with the all-new WRX. Set for May 20 to 21, this will be Subaru’s 14th time to participate in the world’s toughest endurance race, and the first to use an all-new racing engine and platform.

Mazda MX-5 Notches Another Endurance Race Win At 4-Hour Kagitingan Cup


The Mazda MX-5 once again proved to be a formidable racing platform by taking the 2023 Petron 4-hour Kagitingan Cup Win last April 16. Team MSCC Mazda Miata completed 89 laps with a best time of 1:56.054 bagging them the Class 1 and Open A categories for the 4-hour race. The team also finished second overall for the 2-hour race.
