Toyota Motor Philippines Initiates Special Service Campaign
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will issue a Special Service Campaign for the spiral cable of the Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux sold locally from November 2004 to June 2010.
Due to the shape and location of the spiral cable retainers, this may cause some connectivity loss related to the air bag system. In such case, the driver side air bag may not deploy in the event of a crash. There are, however, no incidents reported related to this condition.

It's More Fun with Toyota: Toyota Road Trek 8
Photos by Ulysses Ang |
May. It’s the height of summer, with
temperatures reaching well over 36 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila. It’s hot,
humid, and dry—the perfect weather for a trip out of town. Of course, given
that this is Toyota’s
annual Road Trek event, this wasn’t your ordinary beach trip. Being a
first-time Road Trekker (I declined the early ones and wasn’t invited to the
later ones); I didn’t know what to expect. In the end, I found the Toyota Road
Trek experience to be one unforgettable event.

Toyota Launches 2012 Innova
Photos courtesy of Toyota Press |
Since its launch in 2005, the Toyota Innova has been the Philippines’s best-selling Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) selling 70,000 units cumulatively. When it was first launched, it offered the Filipino family a comfortable, dynamic and affordable MPV which offered features often reserved for much more expensive rides. So when the time came: how do you improve on something so accepted, so loved by the Filipino buying public? Simple: offer the same comfortable, dynamic and affordable equation and place it into a bolder, sexier package. This forms the basis of the 2012 Innova.
