Nissan Shows Off A Sexier Murano in New York

Based on the design brief that will “elevate your experience”, Nissan unveiled the third-generation Murano at the New York International Auto Show. Based off the Resonance Concept, all-new Murano has the unmistakable Nissan family look: the V-Motion front-end, boomerang lights (with available LED headlights), and the floating roof treatment.

Inside, Nissan has worked carefully to make the Murano “effortless” to use. As such, they have lowered the instrument panel height while a new 8-inch central multi-touch control keeps everything neat and simple. In terms of entertainment functions, the Murano is available with an 11-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, power folding rear seats, and a large moon roof.

Under the hood, the all-new Murano uses the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 260 horsepower. This engine is mated to Nissan’s Xtronic CVT transmission. Nissan predicts that the all-new Murano is more efficient (20 percent better) thanks to its 60-kilogram weight reduction, enhanced aerodynamics, and more refined engine/transmission tuning. As always, the Murano rides on an all-independent suspension with front MacPherson Struts and rear Multi-links. Tire size options are 18’s or 20’s.
