SsangYong is Bringing in the All-New Korando and Refreshed Tivoli Real Soon

SsangYong Philippines is launching two new crossovers real soon. Teased via a series of videos, the Korean SUV specialist is set to launch the all-new, fourth-generation Korando compact crossover and the refreshed Tivoli sub-compact crossover, both for the 2020 model year.

Confirmed is that both models will arrive with diesel power and with that, expect the services of the e-XDi 160 Diesel engine making 136 horsepower and 324 Nm of torque. This move also means that the entire SsangYong line-up will now be powered exclusively by diesel engines. The sole transmission mated to the e-XDi 160 engine is an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic with selectable drive modes.

In terms of styling, the all-new Korando sports the latest SsangYong design language which is now more modern and urbane. Some of its trademark design features include the “birds wing” front grille and a curved shoulder line that tapers towards the rear of the car. The same treatment is seen also on the Tivoli which gets new headlights, grille, and fog lights.

Inside, both the Korando and Tivoli will likely level up their interior game, starting with an all-new 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster. The Tivoli will also get refreshed materials, while the Korando will probably have the “infinity mood lamps.”

  1. Hopefully they'll bring in a refreshed Rodius as well. I've ridden a Tivoli, and though its ride needs refining, it's really good.

  2. Ssangyong improves a lot especially with it's powertrain. Sadly their Showroom are nowhere to be found in metro manila. Why Laguna?
