Kia Philippines Show Versatility Of K2500 At MAFBEX 2022

Kia Philippines is showing just how versatile its K2500 light-duty truck is by showing it off with different configurations at the Manila Foods and Beverages Expo or MAFBEX happening until June 19.

Powered by a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the K2500 has one of the highest performance levels in the cab and chassis (C&C) segment, and provides that much needed dependability and fuel-efficiency when delivering goods.

It offers a payload capacity of 1,235 kilograms, a high ground clearance of 200 mm, and even an available 4x4 variant.

Three Kia K2500 variants are currently taking the spotlight at MAFBEX: The K2500 Refrigerated Van, K2500 Kargo, and K2500 Double Cab Dropside.

The K2500 Refrigerated Van is perfect for businesses that deal with perishable goods and frozen foods on a daily basis. Its body is manufactured locally by Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. (CFCI)—one of the best suppliers of temperature-controlled van bodies in the country.

It is capable of consistently delivering up to minus 20 degrees Celscius of box temperature but can achieve up to minus 25 degrees when needed. Aside from providing superior thermal insulation, its panels are also environment friendly and less water absorptive which adds durability.

The K2500 Kargo is the ideal configuration for catering business and other companies requiring a large cargo capacity. Its enclosed body offers generous space for all the ingredients, appliances, equipment, and other supplies needed in the trade. Highlighted in MAFBEX is the Kargo’s capability to service food catering business needs where its 6 cubic meter volume capacity can handle as much as 16 cooler boxes, 72 glass trays with glasses, and 16 chaffing dishes.

This utility vehicle can also be used by small and medium food enterprises that regularly need to transport ingredients or supplies that have no need for refrigeration.

The Kia K2500 is the only light duty truck in the country that offers the Double Cab Dropside configuration. It can seat up to 6 people, while its dropside allows for the easy loading and unloading of goods. This configuration can carry as much as 20 fruit and vegetable crates. It makes it perfect for those in the agricultural business: fresh produce suppliers, farmers, livestock raisers, fisheries, and the like. The double cab dropside has 26 strategically placed rope hooks and additional two “canopy hooks,” as Kia would call it to connect canopy or other accessories.

All Kia K2500s come with generous after-sales perks so that entrepreneurs, companies, and corporations can do business operations with peace of mind:
  • A warranty that lasts for 3 years or 110,000 kilometers whichever comes first
  • 24/7 Roadside Assistance which is also free for 3 years
  • Readily available spare parts which ensures reduced downtime.
After MAFBEX, the K2500 will go on roving exhibition through the Kargado Karavan 2022. It’ll be mounted in dealerships and trade shows until the end of the year. Manny Aligada, President of Kia Philippines, said: “The Kargado Karavan aims to help businesses find the ideal K2500 configuration that will take their operations to the next level which includes companies and corporations in the food and beverage businesses. We are confident that our presence at MAFBEX will help accomplish this goal.”
