Mitsubishi Motors PH To Launch Five New Vehicles In Five Years

In line with Mitsubishi Motor’s Challenge 2025 mid-term business plan, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), has confirmed that they will be launching five new models in the next five years.

At the Philippine premiere of the XFC Concept, which will spawn off a production compact SUV to rival the Ford Territory and Geely Coolray in August, MMPC President & CEO Mr. Takeshi Hara said, “We are excited to share and showcase the concept design that will define the future of the Mitsubishi Motors brand. And to further beef up our product line-up, we are introducing five new models in the next five years.”

Previously, in an exclusive interview, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Executive Vice-President for Sales and Marketing, Mr. Takanobu Suzuki, has confirmed that three of these vehicles will make their debuts this year. These are the production version of the XFC Concept, the all-new Strada, and another all-new SUV.

The carmaker, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in the Philippines, has announced its goal of further improving its line-up specifically for Filipino customers.

The XFC Concept features a “Robust & Ingenious” design concept for powerful, imposing design. Mitsubishi’s iconic Dynamic Shield concept is integrated to the new exterior to create yet another unique design that expresses both performance and protection.

Built with high ground clearance, the XFC Concept is designed specifically for the ASEAN market. In fact, it’s the first SUV to feature a Wet mode apart from the usual Normal, Gravel, and Mud driving modes. The Wet mode, introduced for the first time in a Mitsubishi vehicle, is designed to enable safe driving even on roads flooded by sudden showers.

Its interior offers ease of operation and comfort with its horizontally themed design instrumental panel. Despite being a compact SUV, the design comes with a spacious cabin area and ample cargo space providing comfort and convenience to both driver and passengers. It will also come with premium features including a Yamaha sound system.
