Here Are The Full Specs Of The 2026 MG TRQ-L Pickup Truck


MG Philippines is entering a segment dominated typically by Japanese legacy brands: the pickup truck segment. The first-ever MG TRQ-L aims to capture buyers with its value-for-money pricing and well-rounded set of features. Watch our first impressions.

Measuring in at 5,365 mm in length and 1,960 mm in width, the MG TRQ-L is one of the longest and widest in the pickup truck segment. And with its 1-ton (1,055 kilograms) and 2.5-ton towing capacity, it’s capable of meeting both private and business needs. It comes in Warm White, Astral Silver, Metal Black, and Metal Ash Gray. Scarlet Red is offered exclusively on the AT variant.



The MG TRQ-L comes in one single variant with two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 161 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 2,400 rpm. It only comes in rear-wheel drive.

The TRQ-L’s performance is backed up by a toughened construction with a laser-welded body. Moreover, is comes packing a wide array of safety features including dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program with hill descent control, and tire pressure monitoring.



Inside, the MG TRQ-L goes for a high value proposition with features such as leather seats with a 6-way power adjust driver’s seat, push-start with passive keyless entry, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering wheel controls, and rear AC vents.

  • MG TRQ-L 4x2 MT  – P 1,248,888 (Introductory Price: P 1,198,888)
  • MG TRQ-L 4x2 AT – P 1,338,888 (Introductory Price: P 1,318,888)

    2. MG U9 is a much more expensive premium pickup truck which is gonna be priced like a Ranger Raptor and Hilux GR-S
      MG Philippines wants to focus first on selling affordable vehicles instead of overpriced premium ones that gonna rot at dealerships.

  5. The projector type headlights, step boards, push start, traction control, hill start assist, and the leather seats are only available for the AT TRQ. For MT, they have standard headlights, rotary key start, and fabric seats. Just saw them yesterday at MG Gallery.
