At P 2,698,000, the Kia EV5 presents an interesting case. Not only is it priced similarly to other non-Chinese EVs like the Tesla Model Y and Toyota bZ4X, but in big picture terms, it manages to reach price parity with traditional and hybrid compact SUVs. This fact is important as Kia thinks BEVs has reached a cusp—where the era of early adopters has turned to the early majority. All the more reason to play it safer then.
