Changan Launches Under New Distributor, Introduces 7-Seater X7 Plus For P 1.580M (w/ Specs)

Inchcape Philippines officially introduces Changan Auto as part of its automotive portfolio in the Philippines. For Inchcape, it is the company’s first partnership with Changan Auto in the APAC region, with a vision of giving the Filipino an entirely new smart driving experience. This is founded on high-technology products that are reliable, of high-quality, yet attainable.

This milestone ushers in a new era for Changan Auto. As one of the top 4 automotive brands in China, it is one of the pioneers in the Chinese domestic auto industry and carries a 161-year legacy. Today, it proudly stands on a base of strength that includes 12 manufacturing hubs, 33 auto engine factories, and a global research and development network across the world that spans China, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States.

Changan Auto’s dedication to research and product development makes it one of the most formidable automotive brands to set foot on the global stage, well-regarded in both China and abroad. A significant highlight that ticked the box is its in-car smart mobility technology and the introduction of electric vehicles (EV) into its portfolio, which provides advanced driving solutions to the Philippines while being positioned at an attainable price level. This passion for delivering the best in in-car technology has garnered Changan Auto the top spot in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study (IQS) for 5 consecutive years from 2019 to 2023.

Currently, Changan Auto offers six models under its portfolio: the Alsvin passenger car, the CS35 Plus SUV, the CS55 Plus SUV, the Uni-T, and the Uni-K SUVs.

To complete the brand line-up for 2023, Changan Auto is proud to launch its newest product, the Changan X7 Plus. This 7-seater SUV is the brand’s entry into the large SUV category, offering a modernistic design and incredible functionality that makes it perfect for any journey. Built with a Bluecore 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, it runs on a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. It allows for an output of 185 horsepower and 300Nm of torque.

Upfront, it features a dynamic, jewel-like grille pattern. This is proportionate to the narrow multi-tier LED headlamp set-up that is a signature of Changan, supported by LED daytime running lights. At the back is a continuous “infinity” LED tail lamps. Sporty details include red accents, a shark fin antenna, a chrome-plated ornamental exhaust tip, and 19-inch air turbine alloy wheels.

The spacious interior cabin is finished in black with accents in piano black and brushed metal. For comfort, the driver and passenger seats have power adjustment with built-in heating and cooling. Second and third row seats offer generous legroom and flat flooring, while the cargo hold boasts of exceptional space, especially when both rows are folded down flat.

The X7 is equipped with a large 12.3-inch high-definition touch screen monitor. The system is powered by CarAuto and features hands-free calling, phone mirroring for both Apple iOS and Android devices, navigation, and more. Select system controls can also be manipulated, such as Custom Car Mode Selection, Car Lights Configuration, Car Alerts, Air-Conditioning, Driver Support, and Vehicle Diagnostics.

Safety is a premium and the best features are integrated into the Changan X7 Plus. Apart from the basics, like a built-in digital video recorder, reverse camera, and parking sensors, it also has a 360-degree camera with 4 wide-angle cameras, along with advanced TPMS and parking sensors, and vehicle stability controls. The Advanced Driver Assist System includes on-road support, like Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

  5. If you want to buy chinese Cars better stick to any SUV below 1.3M . Resale value is Very Bad .hard to sell yet bad after sales service. No option to buy replacement parts. Dealer the only way for maintenance checkup .

  6. I believe the problem with China cars is they make their cars with small displacements which make their cars less reliable in the long run for it can cause more wear and tear.
