Hyundai introduces the crossover-inspired Stargazer X as an addition to its compact MPV family.
First shown globally in Indonesia last August, the three-row, 7-seater Stargazer X blends elements of both Hyundai’s award-winning MPV and SUV range. The new bumpers with integrated aluminum-like overriders give it a sense of ruggedness. Meanwhile, the new grille with a 3D interlocking design element and 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/50R17 tires add sophistication. Roof rails, black fender overriders and black side sills complete the transformation.
Inside, the Stargazer X receives features wireless device charging. Black leather upholstery with red accents is standard. Further differentiating the Stargazer X from the regular Stargazer, it receives a new dashboard with a large piano black accent surrounding the floating-style instrument cluster and infotainment screen. The instrument cluster’s bezel has also been reshaped for better outward visibility. Completing the changes are a fully-digital instrument cluster and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Underneath, the Stargazer X continues with the same mechanical formula as before. This means having the Smartstream G 1.5-liter mated to an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission). It makes 115 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm.
For safety, the Hyundai Stargazer X gets standard Hyundai Smart Sense with Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and forward clearance sensors. This is on top of rear disc brakes and tire pressure sensors.
The Stargazer X arrives with a price of P 1,348,000. It comes in three colors: Dragon Red Pearl, Creamy White Pearl, and Magnetic Silver Metallic.

This would be a perfectly affordable young family car if it had a panoramic sunroof. Kids love those glass roofs.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, looks like another hit for Hyundai. Now for the aftersales...
The external "futuristic apperance" already looks tired.....hyundai designs typically wanes fast.....
ReplyDeleteFeatures packed, Miles better than the pricy xpander cross with just 2 airbags and no adas.
ReplyDeleteLook like Someone had some Competition on Xpander Cross, BR-v, XL7 and Veloz
ReplyDeleteOT: Could they add on https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:History/Hyundai%20Stargazer ?
Really good specs and pricing
ReplyDelete360° camera present?
ReplyDeleteNope. Rear back-up camera.
DeleteForgivable if the competition's 360 camera quality is bad.
DeleteThe Stargazer X is still not too SUVish for me. This is If I compare this to the Ertiga & XL-7 and onto XPander & Cross makeover.
ReplyDeleteIs seat material real leather or still synthetic? (which feels awful btw)
ReplyDeleteStill synthetic leather.
DeleteIt seems that with the added models, the Venue has been removed from the local Hyundai lineup.
ReplyDeleteI think the regular gls premium now also comes with the reduced bezels and piano black finished dash. As what I’ve seen from other videos. not sure about the electronic parking brake though. And also does the stargazer x come with the 6 seater option too?
ReplyDeleteNo 6-seater version for the Stargazer X. The reduced bezel/piano black dash will be rolled out slowly throughout the rest of the regular Stagazer line. For now though, the X gets it first officially. EPB is an option for other countries, but again, only the X gets it for the PH market.
DeleteGoods na yung GLS variant nito
ReplyDeleteAre there plans for stargazer hybrid?
