Just a few days after GAC Motor Philippines revealed the specs and opened reservations for the GS4 Max HEV, it has been officially launched in the country with a 1,298,000 price tag. And for a limited time, it’s available with a P 80,000 discount dropping its sticker price to just P 1,218,000 until September 30.
“With the introduction of the GS4 Max HEV, we are thrilled to offer modern Filipino families a high-value hybrid SUV that balances practical comfort, reliability, and exceptional efficiency,” said Calvin Cheng, General Manager of GAC Philippines. “As we expand our SUV portfolio alongside the Emkoo, GS3 Emzoom, and GS8, the GS4 Max HEV reinforces our commitment to providing uncompromised mobility solutions designed to elevate everyday life for growing households across the country.”
The GS4 Max HEV comes in three colors for the local market: Planet Silver, Hoary Gray, and Crystal White.
Check out the full specs here, but the single variant features a bold Qilin front fascia, Qingyun Ladder matrix grille, Morning Star LED headlights, full-width Changhong LED taillights, and electric hidden door handles. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the GS4 Max HEV has a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle (ATK) hybrid engine paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 2.1 kWh Nickel Cobalt Manganese battery. All in all, it generates 232 horsepower and a maximum motor torque of 300 Nm. This is enough for up to 1,250 kilometers of driving range on a single tank.
Anchored by a generous 2,750 mm wheelbase and 1,901 mm wide body, the GS4 Max HEV provides leading leg- and shoulder room across both rows. The interior features an all-black cabin with an expansive panoramic glass roof. Passengers can also experience the comfort of zero pressure comfort seats.
On the tech front, it has a 10.1-inch multifunctional touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, an aircraft-inspired gear selector, and a 50-watt wireless smartphone charger with built-in cooling fan technology.
The GS4 Max HEV also comes with a Level 2 Driver Assistance Suite which includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB-VRU), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), alongside a full set of airbags, ABS with EBD, front & rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
The GS4 Max HEV is supported by GAC Philippines’ network of 30 dealerships, dedicated parts warehouse, two years of free roadside assistance, and a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty plus an 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty on the high-voltage hybrid battery, driving motor, and motor control unit.
