224-Horsepower Toyota Fortuner GR Sport Has Arrived In The Philippines

After upgrading the rest of the Fortuner line-up for 2024, Toyota Motor Philippines has done the same to the top-of-the-line Fortuner GR Sport variant.

Launched in Thailand last August, the 2024 Fortuner GR Sport is differentiated from the Fortuner LTD 4x4 thanks to a more powerful tune to its 1GD-FTV 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine.

Like the Hilux GR Sport, it now packs 224 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque—an increase of 20 horsepower and 50 Nm over before. The transmission remains a 6-speed automatic routed through a part-time four-wheel drive system with an Auto Disconnect Differential and Rear Differential Lock.

Other mechanical bits—the GR-S monotube shock absorber, GR brake calipers, and 18-inch machine cut GR design wheels remain carried over.

Just as the Fortuner V variants upward receive an improved infotainment system, the Fortuner GR Sport does the same. It now has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay support; this is an inch bigger from 2023.

The 2024 Fortuner GR Sport comes only in one color—Platinum White Pearl with an Attitude Black Mica roof and is priced at P 2.645-million.

    2. Sana every purchase comes with drivers education pack or reality check for owner's. If you really want a fast and powerful car just buy a sports car and not this

    3. I remember a funny story that happened to me... may isang Everest, sobrang bilis magpatakbo, around umaabot siya ng 170kph to 180kph.. muntik makatama ng iba dahil sa kakasingit. Eh naunahan ko, I was driving a Subaru WRX that time.

  3. Scalpers and resellers are gonna hoard this new variant of the Fortuner
I still prefer the GWM Tank 300 which is a real 4X4 SUV that passed the ANCAP crash tests very well.
Fortuner G to Q are the best value for money variants of the Fortuner
