Audiofrog Car Audio Now In The Philippines

Audiophiles, there’s a new car speaker brand in town and it’s one that promises to demystify the entire mobile listening experience: Audiofrog.

Designed for car audio enthusiasts with an ear for straightforward hi-fi sound and an eye for detail, Audiofrog was founded in 2011 by two industry veterans with over 75 years of industry experience—Andy Wehmeyer and Marcus Yeo.

As the name connotes, it is a brand created from the challenge of a dream and, in a global industry already dominated by audio giants, a leap of faith.

Audiofrog is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with a sales network spanning the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In Asia, its official corporate office is currently based in Singapore.

The philosophy behind Audiofrog is simple: to provide the best in-class performance across all its product lines, focused largely in delivering superior sound engineering and modern in-house designs. In addition, Audiofrog puts importance in offering innovative solutions for installation and tuning implementations. This creates a wholistic environment for both R&D and business development.

Deemed as the “small company with big personality,” Audiofrog focuses on one thing: producing the best possible components—speakers, sub-woofers, amplifiers—for the job. Each of their products is created for recording studio-level quality and optimized for automobiles. Everything is designed in California, and the build quality is evident as soon as you hold a piece of Audiofrog equipment in your hand. It’s strong and classic—harkening back to the golden era of products that are built to last.

For the Philippines, Audiofrog is offering two distinct product lines, both of which are positioned in the premium segment: the premium competition-level GB series and the enthusiast-centric high-end GS series.

The flagship GB series comes with a range of three-way speakers and sub-woofers with the GB25 2 ½ mid-range speaker a particular engineering favorite of co-founder Andy. The GB series can form the basis of a competition-level sound system with its low distortion and flat frequency response. Ballpark figures for the GB series speakers start at around “six digits.”

Meanwhile, the mid-range GS series is designed as a drop-in replacement to OE speakers. The two-way systems are designed to be an easily installed premium upgrade (including vehicles with a Bose sound system). They are constructed of a proprietary injection-molded ABS and fiberglass vented basket. Regardless, they also carry the same qualities of low distortion and a flat frequency response as the GB line. The GS series is certainly more affordable with prices hovering around “five digits.”

Regardless, as a system, Audiofrog forms the foundation of award-winning audio systems garnering numerous awards for the company and its installers such as Car Audio Play, Mobile Sound Festival, and the Mobile Electronics Competition Association.

Audiofrog Car Audio products are now available at select installers nationwide. And like their approach in the United States, Audiofrog Car Audio promises not to educate the customer per se in the realm of high-end audio, but to help the customer appreciate their music, whatever that may be.
