Distributed officially by QSJ Motors Philippines, the Bestune Pony is a three-door sub-compact hatchback with room for four. At around three meters long and 1.5 meters wide, its small size makes it highly suitable for tackling crowded city streets and tight parking. This is especially handy since being fully electric, it’s number coding exempt meaning it can go around Metro Manila anytime and anywhere.
Outfitted with a 27 horsepower (20 kW), 85 Nm electric motor, the Bestune Pony is really designed to zip around the urban landscapes. However, if needed, it can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h making it expressway legal. Its compact 13.9-kWh battery allows it to drive at up to 170 kilometers between charges, costing just P 1.10 per kilometer along the way—that’s P 187.65 on a full charge. By comparison, a gas- or diesel-powered car can set you back as much as P 1,200 per month. Talk about savings!
Small in stature, the Bestune Pony is big on personality with a colored dashboard that matches the exterior colorway. It even comes with a USB/Bluetooth compatible audio system to keep everyone aboard entertained.
