Aito Is China's Best-Selling Luxury New Energy Vehicle Brand

Aito cements itself as China’s best-selling luxury brand. In 2025, Seres’ high-end new energy vehicle brand saw its sales exceed 470,000 units. The feat enables them to beat out Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz in the process.

The brand’s appeal, Aito says, is down to excellent product positioning, vehicle capabilities, and a strong reputation among buyers especially in the 200,000 to 600,000 RMB (P 1.7 million to P 5.1 million) range.

The Aito M9 continued its 21-month run as the best-selling model in its segment with cumulative deliveries now exceeding 270,000 units. At the same time, the Aito M8 and M7 remain leaders in their respective segments with the M8 being the best-selling model in the 400,000 RMB range (P 3.4 million) for six consecutive months, while the M7 has managed to surpass cumulative sales of more than 400,000 units.

Beyond its sales, Aito beat out traditional luxury brands such as Audi and BMW in a new energy vehicle study done by Chinese automotive market research firm LandRoad. This milestone signifies their rise in brand reputation, customer trust, and value.

Looking ahead, Aito is focused on expanding globally. Plans are also in place to broaden its portfolio to further strengthen its leadership in the luxury new energy vehicle market.
