The final home race featuring the current Gen 3 Formula E era, Nissan will compete in a special one-off Nismo livery that pays tribute to the brand’s motorsports heritage for Round 14 and 15 of the championship.

Echoing the iconic color palette of Nissan’s Nismo performance road cars, the striking design combines grey and black with Nismo’s distinctive red accents. It also retains the team’s signature cherry blossom motif, creating a unique design that celebrates both the Nismo brand and the team’s home E-Prix. Rowland and teammate Norman Nato will also wear bespoke race suits featuring the same colors as the special Tokyo livery throughout the weekend.

Measuring 2.582 kilometers, the 18-turn Tokyo Street Circuit surrounds the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, better known as Tokyo Big Sight. Combining long straights with tight technical sections and fast, flowing sequences, the anti-clockwise layout presents one of the most demanding tests on the Formula E calendar.

The squad will be aiming to bounce back from a difficult Shanghai double-header while building on its impressive record in the Japanese capital, where Oliver Rowland has claimed one victory and two podium finishes from the three races held there to date. Rowland also arrives in Tokyo having started every E-Prix in the city from pole position, underlining his exceptional performance at the venue.

In addition, Saturday’s race will feature Formula E’s mandatory Pit Boost pit stop, while on Sunday the E-Prix will follow the traditional format, presenting teams and drivers with two distinct strategic challenges.

This race weekend will be the penultimate of Season 12, making every point increasingly valuable in the title fight. Rowland remains in contention to defend his crown, currently sitting third in the standings with six podium finishes and one victory so far this season.

Recognized as Formula E’s #1 fan-favorite team in the championship’s annual survey, the Nissan Formula E Team will once again count on incredible backing at its home event. That support will be on full display during Saturday’s race, with a sold-out dedicated Nissan grandstand overlooking the pit straight.

Away from the track, Nissan Formula E Team will also host The Nismo Pit, an exclusive fan activation created in collaboration with designer Kenichi Minami. Inspired by Japan’s iconic 1990s underground car culture, the immersive experience will showcase a selection of modified Nissan road cars alongside the Nissan Formula E Gen 3 Evo featuring the team’s special Tokyo livery. Fans will also be able to watch the race, enjoy classic diner-inspired food and soak up live DJ sets in a unique celebration of Nissan’s motorsport heritage.
