Honda Cars PH Confirms Engine, Variants, and Colors of All-New 2021 City

In the lead up to the much-anticipated launch of the all-new City, Honda Cars Philippines has now revealed the powertrain, available colors, and variants.

The all-new City aims to carry the success of the current fourth-generation model. Since its launch in 2017, it has sold over 21,000 examples making it Honda’s best-selling vehicle locally. The carmaker promises that the upcoming fifth-generation model will “further enhance the already remarkable package of the current City.”

Based on the material set to us by Honda Cars, the Philippine spec of the City will have one powertrain: the normally-aspirated 1.5-liter. Featuring a DOHC layout, it replaces the current SOHC. All in all, it makes 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. While its output is similar to the outgoing engine, it must be noted that it’s enough for a 10.2-second 0-100 km/h sprint, a top speed of 196 km/h, and a fuel economy of up to 18.51 km/L. For 2021, it looks like Honda is offering the manual gearbox only in the base variant; other variants get the Earth Dreams CVT.

In terms of variants, Honda has confirmed that the all-new City will have at least three variants: S, V, and for the first time ever, RS.

As for colors, the City is confirmed to come in the following hues:
  • Ignite Red Metallic – S CVT, V, RS
  • Modern Steel Metallic
  • Platinum White Pearl V, RS
  • Crystal Black Pearl
  • Lunar Silver Metallic – S CVT, V
Authorized Honda Cars dealerships across the country is now accepting reservations for the all-new City. Furthermore, until December 21, 2020, all current Honda owners who will refer an all-new City buyer will receive P 5,000 worth of e-gift certificates upon every successful referral.
