Nissan is busy updating its line-up for 2024. Aside from upgrading the feature set of its Terra mid-sized SUV (from VE all the way to the VL and Sport variants), the carmaker has also quietly introduced an updated version of its snub-nosed van, the Urvan, for 2024.
Two years ago, the Urvan already got its first update for the 2023 model year. It introduced the updated V-motion grille and Nissan badge along with re-sculpted bumpers. It also managed to receive a D-shaped steering wheel (also with the new Nissan emblem), along with standard dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and high-beam assist.
This year, those impressive safety systems have been leveled up further with the addition of vehicle dynamic control (VDC) across the range with automatic variants getting Hill Start Assist. Also new are automatic headlights (still halogen), LED front fog lamps (select variants), and automatic dimming rearview mirror.
For 2024, the Urvan GX makes its way from an indent order model to a more permanent addition to the Urvan range. Urvan GX is basically the Premium (longer and taller than the standard Urvan) variant that’s been transformed into a cargo hauling variant. For that, it gets all the trappings of the Premium (including the availability of an automatic transmission), but with the second to fifth row seats removed.
As for colors, here’s the revised palette for the new Urvan:

The high center of gravity for this body type, coupled with speeding habit of PH drivers can really jeopardize the occupants when operated haphazardly. No physical safety equipment can solve that.
ReplyDeleteThe LTO should strictly implement existing criteria for issuance and renewal of licenses, and consider accepting video evidences from ordinary motorists in suspending or revoking licenses of traffic violators who endanger other motorists.
Stability control on Urvan Cargo and Standard is a really good additional safety feature for Urvan van drivers in provincial areas especially on wet slippery roads.

Most safety features are installed on higher model vans (AT). The ones that are used for UV express (MT) are not that high on safety.
