The Mazda3 Is A Testament To Beauty, Grace, And Timelessness
Different is good. And sometimes, as much as fitting in and being a part of the backdrop is comfortable and predictable, standing out is where the magic happens. Most of us are afraid to be in the spotlight and to draw attention to who we are and what we can do. But the truth is, if we don’t hype ourselves up – who will?

Is The Philippines Missing Out On The 2026 Nissan Sentra?
It’s been around five years since Nissan opted out of the compact car segment here in the Philippines, but that doesn’t mean that they’re out of it altogether elsewhere in the world. Case in point is the ninth-generation Nissan Sentra (fifth-generation Sylphy) which has just been launched.

Review: 2025 GWM Ora 03 500 EV
GWM has a knack for coming up with quirky car names. From the same company that brought the world the Wingle, the Cool Bear, the King Kong Cannon, the Florid, and the Big Dog comes this: the Ora Good Cat. Only, it’s no longer the Good Cat; it’s the Funky Cat. No, scratch that. It’s now known as the Ora 03. Ultimately, credit goes to the Chinese brand’s global ambitions for the very sensible name change, all of which happened in the last five years or so. Whatever you decide calling it—Good, Funky, or otherwise, the product is a cutesy, retro-styled compact hatchback that’s full of design flair, but saddled by forgettable dynamics and an overprotective ADAS system.

Review: 2025 Hyundai Elantra 1.6T N Line
Carmakers often limit appending the name of their cars with the letters, “R,” “S,” “T,” or a combination of the three to connote something sporty. “M,” gets a pass, mainly because of its historical significance tied to BMW’s go-fast department. But what happens if you try to go for something different, say with a letter that’s more innocuous like, “N?” That’s exactly what Hyundai’s done with their high-performance N vehicles, and quite frankly, it’s raising eyebrows more than oohs and ahhs.

Review: 2025 Honda Civic RS Turbo
Hard to believe, but it’s been four years since the current Civic’s arrival in the Philippines. In that time, the competition has remained steady with the same players competing in a shrinking segment. If anything, the race has become one of technology—where there’s a game of one upmanship be in electrification, safety, or comfort. It’s one race the Civic, at least in this RS Turbo guise, falls behind in.

Mazda's Decision To Offer AutoExe Parts In The Mazda3 Is Pure Genius
It looks great, handles even greater. Everyone who loves driving will be enamored by the Mazda3. Six years on, it’s still the definitive compact sedan/hatchback out there, flaws and all (read our 2019 Mazda 3.0 Sportback review and 2024 Mazda3 2.0 HEV Fastback review). If anything, the only thing it lacks is a proper sporty variant. Although you could counter that its sportiness is inherently baked into the four variants you could get straight from the showroom floor, being JDM, a part of you wishes Mazda would offer something along the “tuner” line. After all, if Toyota could do it with Gazoo Racing Sport (GR Sport) and Honda with Road Sailing (RS), why couldn’t Mazda?

Review: 2025 Honda Civic RS e:HEV
Buyers in the close to P 2-million range are always in the look out for SUVs or crossovers. Likely fueled by notion that high-riding vehicles make for bang-for-the-buck choices, their rise in consumer minds has meant the demise of the compact sedan. Once the “starter car” of the Filipino family, they now occupy a niche segment, but one that’s still competitive one way or another.

All-New JAC Ytterby EV Combines Style And Function In One Attractive Package
The past couple of years have seen a rapid influx of electric vehicles into the Philippine market. In the beginning, only the luxury, European and American manufacturers were brave enough to tread the category. Soon after, more brands started entering the country, laying ground for more options in electrification. Technology was where the conversation began, revolving around in-car integration, research and development in battery safety, and, of course, charging solutions and infrastructure.

The 2025 Honda Civic Is Your New Car Crush
By now, we’ve seen what electrification does to a car’s performance. It’s a simple equation of an engine plus a battery plus electric motors equals more horsepower and torque. So, when Honda put the powertrain of the CR-V into the Civic, some of us were giddy with excitement. It’s basically putting a compact crossover’s engine into a much lighter sedan. The power figures will be the same but the power to weight ratio will yield a different experience on the road.
