For 2024, Ford updated the F-150’s look to increase its visual width. The new grille—dubbed “coast to coast” by the carmaker—expands the coverage while also dropping in new textures and detailing. LED headlights are now standard as are new alloy wheels and colors.

The biggest design change though is the Pro-Access Tailgate. Instead of just a traditional tailgate that drops down, this one can also swing out like a gate from the driver’s side. This allows owners to access the bed’s contents without having to lean over the tailgate. It opens at 37 degrees (to avoid hitting any hitched trailer) and maxes out at 100 degrees. A step underneath the bumper can also be swung out and together with another rear bumper step creates a two-step staircase. It also eliminates the in-bed pull-out step. The bed itself gains a new storage box on the passenger’s side that can fit tie-down straps and jumper cables.

Inside, the 2024 F-150 receives a new electrical architecture that integrates telematics and a 5G modem that allows up to 10 devices to use the in-car Wi-Fi simultaneously. It will also help Ford push OTA updates. A 12-inch central infotainment screen is standard as is a 12-inch all-digital gauge cluster.

In terms of powertrains, the 2024 F-150 now gets the 2.7-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 as standard, while other options are a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, a hybrid 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6, and a 5.0-liter V8. For the Raptor models, it gets either a high output 3.5 EcoBoost V6 or a supercharged 5.2-liter V8.

Speaking of the Raptor, the top-dog F-150 Raptor R, adds new Dual Live Valve Fox shocks which are paired with a 37-inch tire package. It also gets a modular front bumper that exposes more of the front tires as well as Recaro seats. The regular F-150 Raptor continues with its current Live Valve Fox shocks.

The new Ford F-150 is set to arrive in U.S. dealerships next year.
