Chery Auto PH Gears Up For Electrification

Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) is taking a significant stride towards a greener and sustainable future at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) happening from April 4 to 7, 2024.

Chery highlights the Tiggo 7 PHEV and the fully-electric eQ7. This is on top of the best-selling Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV.

Like the Tiggo 8 Pro HEV, the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter combustion engine supplemented with two electric motors. Its 19.27-kWh lithium-ion battery allows it to operate purely on electric power for short trips (up to 80 kilometers) or hybrid modes for long distance travels. It also packs a punch with 326 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque.

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV comes with a 12.3-inch high-def instrument panel and infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Sony 8-speaker sound system, and a complete suite of safety equipment including ADAS or Advance Driver Assistance Systems.

Meanwhile, the eQ7 is a fully-electric compact SUV with a driving range of more than 500 kilometers.

The eQ7 has a minimalist streamlined styling with an ultralow wind drag coefficient of 0.31. This is supported by an active grille system which intelligently closes or opens according to running conditions to effectively save on energy.

It uses an upgraded lithium iron phosphate battery, which has passed the test of the highest waterproof grade IPX9K. Meantime, the dual armor protection creates the safest battery in its class, providing long-lasting peace of mind.

In terms of features, the eQ7 also has dual-zone air conditioning which is complemented with an air quality system. This purifies recirculating air complemented by a fragrance system that can be selected based on the driver or passenger’s preference. The eQ7 is also equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens and has luxurious and futuristic interior.

The eQ7’s L2+ semi-autonomous driving system includes a complete and multi-scenario Advance Driver Assistance system. It also has a Driver Monitoring System to monitor the state of the driver in real time providing safety and protection especially on long distance driving.

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is indicatively priced at P 1.8 million, while the eQ7 is pegged at P 2 million.

1 comment:

  1. Good pricing for the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV and eQ7 EV
Looks like Chery Philippines canceled the plans to sell the eQ1 due to pricing issues (its more expensive than the 4 door Dongfeng Nanobox)
