Fresh from the launch of its head-turning Rio sub-compact car, Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), the official distributor of Kia automobiles in the Philippines is strengthening its dealer network by formally opening the Kia Metro East showroom last Friday.

Located at 332 Barangay San Isidro in Cainta, Rizal, Kia Metro East is the largest Kia dealership in Metro Manila with a total area of 4,000 square-meters. Aside from the usual showroom and service facilities, Kia Metro East boasts of a special VIP lounge and restaurant where customers can relax and order a vast array of food and beverages while waiting for the completion of their respective Kia vehicles from service or repair.

First opened in July 2011, Kia Metro East underwent a renovation process to adhere to the current global standards of Kia. In fact, Kia Metro East is the latest and biggest dealership to follow the Global Space Identity (GSI) concept set by Kia Motors Corporation in order to standardize dealers all around the world. The official opening of Kia Metro East started off with the ribbon cutting ceremonies led by Ms. Ginia Domingo, President of Columbian Autocar Corporation, Mrs. Janet Santos, and Mrs. Pritchie Mabilog of Autocircle, Inc., the company that operates Kia Metro East. Mr. Michael Mabilog, Vice-President and General Manager of Kia Metro East then toured guest around the whole facility.

A family-owned business that started under a different name in 2004, Auto Circle, Inc. has received numerous awards including the 2005 Dealer of the Year Award, 2006 Best Kia Service Dealer Award, 2006 and 2008 Gold Awardee for the Act Smart service campaign, 2009 Outstanding After-Sales Award, 2010 Dealer of the Year Award for After-Sales & Platinum Dealer for 2010.

Mr. Mabilog says that by following the GSI, one joins an elite group of dealerships around the world that has conformed to global standards aimed at continuously improving Kia’s brand image and familiarity. It provides a modern, professional, and practical design which is both appealing and memorable to the customer. “There has been encouraging growth in inquiries and actual sales for both vehicle sales and after-market service,” he says. Mr. Mabilog attributed this growth to the improved customer feedback that point to the improved overall design of the dealership.
