Omoda And Jaecoo Appoints Industry Veteran To Head Operations

Ahead of its official brand launch at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Omoda and Jaecoo has appointed a Philippine industry veteran as vice-president in charge of operations.

Abner Berdos has joined the promising Chinese vehicle manufacturer to inject “vitality” to Omoda and Jaecoo’s business development in the Philippines (O&J’s words, not ours). Meanwhile, brand manager Uzzi Asuncion has moved up to a new position but still under a brand management role.

Their appointment comes as Omoda and Jaecoo reaches a pivotal point as they officially launch the two brands at MIAS. With a theme of “Gearing Towards New Mobility,” the twin brands under Chery International will show off the Omoda 5 compact SUV, Omoda E5 EV compact SUV, Jaecoo J7 compact SUV, and the Jaecoo J8 mid-sized SUV at the SMX Convention Center—one of the two venues for MIAS this year.

All models under the Omoda and Jaecoo umbrella will offer a 7-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty (internal combustion engine) or an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for EV-related systems such as the battery and electric motor.

  2. omoda and jaecoo is here in Ph for almost a year already yet i do not see any massive development on their operation. where are their dealers and how many are existing already. no word from aftersales as well. this brand is doomed to fail. they should just let the company distributing the Chery brands handles these 2 brands plus the Exeed.

    1. UAAGI isn't interested of selling Jaecoo and Omoda vehicles as they've focused instead on BAIC and Lynk and Co.
Omoda and Jaecoo in the Philippines is wholly owned and operated by Chery from China
The brand isn't aiming to sell thousands of units a year as they're selling premium products
