Toyota Motor Philippines is expanding the available body configurations for its best-selling Tamaraw utility vehicle thanks to a favorable response from private owners and MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises).
Joining the Tamaraw line-up are the Tamaraw 2.4 GL Aluminum Cargo DSL and the Tamaraw 2.4 GL Utility Van DSL.
These two new Tamaraw variants are both powered by a 2.4-liter turbo diesel (2GD-FTV) engine producing 150 horsepower at 3,400 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 2,000 rpm. Uniquely, it’s mated to a 6-speed automatic offering would-be Tamaraw customers the comfort and convenience of an automatic transmission with the space and versatility offered by the long wheelbase (LWB) platform.
The Tamaraw 2.4 GL Aluminum Cargo DSL offers a payload capacity of around 1,000 kilograms, while the 2+12-seater Tamaraw 2.4 GL Utility Van DSL has 910 kilograms.
As a Tamaraw GL grade, the Tamaraw 2.4 GL Aluminum Cargo DSL and Tamaraw 2.4 GL Utility Van DSL both come with LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. It also has 16-inch wheels with 215/65R16 tires. Inside, it has a 7-inch display audio system with two speakers. Safety comes in the form of dual SRS airbags and ABS with EBD.
