After receiving regulatory approval last March, Tesla Philippines wasted no time and announced the official arrival of the three-row, six-seater Model Y L. Online orders will be accepted starting April 1, 2026 for a starting price of P 2,849,000.
Officially an extension of the Model Y range, the Model Y L tapes in at 4,969 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,668 mm in height. That makes it 179 mm longer and 44 mm taller than the regular two-row Model Y. Its wheelbase is up to 2,890 mm.
The added length and wheelbase enable Tesla to shoehorn an additional row of seats. Together with a re-configured second-row that switches it from a bench to individual buckets, the seating goes up from five to six adults.
Adding a bit of luxury, the Model Y L comes with some unique features such as power armrests that rise out of the seat base on the second row and third-row seats that receive their very own air vents. For easier ingress and egress, the second-row seats swing forward electronically. Ventilated seats are available for the first two rows of seats.
For those keen on using the Model Y L for its cargo space, it has 2,539 liters of space (maximum)—up from 2,138 liters in the regular Model Y.
The rest of the features will mirror the updated Model Y which receives, among other things, a larger 16-inch center touchscreen, an 8-inch rear touchscreen, and a black headliner.
The Model Y L comes only with one engine and battery configuration. The 514 horsepower (378 kW) dual motor output offers a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds and the security of all-wheel drive. Top speed remains 201 km/h thanks to a single-speed gearbox. With an 88.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, Tesla Philippines says it offers 681 kilometers of WLTP range—up slightly from the regular Model Y thanks to the larger, three-row SUV’s aerodynamics.
The Model Y L comes with 19-inch wheels with unique spring and damper tuning as well as frequency-selective dampers.
As always, the price changes when customer specs options including colorways such as Cosmic Silver which is exclusive to the Model Y L, a two-tone black/white interior, and enhanced Auto Pilot or Full Self-Driving Capability.
The Model Y L comes with a 4-year or 80,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, while its battery and drive unit is warrantied for 8 years or 192,000 kilometers whichever comes first.

Saw it in person earlier and the hunchback looks awkward to me, which I can get over in the course of ownership. The major drawback for me is the seat layout. You’ll be stuck with a four-seater due to the captain’s chairs when you really need to use the rear cargo space. The current choices are, Model Y with 5 seats and ample rear cargo, or Model YL with 6 seats but compromised rear cargo with the option for 4 seats and ample rear cargo. That’s a major compromise for the Model YL in my book. I would’ve liked for the YL’s middle row to be a bench with 3 seats like the current five-seater Model Y.
