Already gaining international attention, Jaecoo dubs the J5 as the “Baby Range Rover” thanks to styling cues reminiscent of the Range Rover Evoque. Defined by its upright silhouette, wide shoulders, and signature waterfall grille, the J5 is rugged, yet refined.

Inside, the cabin focuses on space, function, and serenity. Five adults can travel comfortably, with the J5’s generous 2620 mm wheelbase providing ample room for all passengers. Pet-friendly materials and generous storage, including 480 liters of luggage space, make it a versatile crossover. Meanwhile, tech features include a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, panoramic moonroof, ventilated seats, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Before its arrival in the Philippines, the J5 is already available in markets such as Europe, South Africa, Brazil, India, and markets in Southeast Asia.

Globally, the compact SUV competes with models such as MG ZS and the Hyundai Creta.

Confirmed for the local market, the J5 will come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain producing 224 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque. This helps it deliver a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds, while still returning 18.7 km/L. With its 51-liter fuel tank, it offers a 980-kilometer range.

An EV version is also coming and this one offers a 211 horsepower (155 kW), 288 Nm front-mounted motor. The underfloor 60.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) delivers a maximum range of 461 kilometers (NEDC) and can be fast charged from 30 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes.

The Manila International Auto Show will be the first opportunity for Filipinos to experience the Jaecoo J5 in person. More details about local pricing and availability will be announced in the coming weeks.
