GAC Philippines, now running as a direct subsidiary of GAC International, introduced the 2026 Emzoom. The refreshed Emzoom comes with an updated aesthetic, upgraded in-cabin tech, and enhanced convenience features across its line-up.
With over 8,000 owners in the Philippines, the Emzoom is GAC’s most popular model. For 2026, GAC Philippines has streamlined the variants from three to two: the GB and the R-Style (the enty-level GS has been discontinued).
Both variants are powered by the same turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission driving the front wheels.
While the mechanicals remain unchanged, the interior sees a major tech boost anchored by a 14.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The R-Style ups that with a 50-watt wireless device charging and a ventilated driver’s seat.
Now the entry-level variant, the Emzoom GB features a new “Star Diamond” grille, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and finally, a rear wiper for the first time. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Emzoom R-Style gets a “Black Edition” package that paints the chrome GAC logo black along with 18-inch wheels.
In terms of safety, the Emzoom R-Style receives two new safety features: Integrated Parking Assistance and Blind Spot Video Driving Assistance.
The GAC Emzoom comes in five colors: Graphene Gray, Ivory White, Moonlight Gray, and Superstar Silver. The Emzoom GB has a Blue and Black interior colorway, while the Emzoom R-Style gets a Black and Brown colorway.
As for pricing, the Emzoom GB is priced at P 1,059,900, while the Emzoom R-Style is priced at P 1,159,900—both are P 130,000 lower than the initial pricing announced at the Manila International Auto Show.
The 2026 Emzoom is backed up by a network of 30 dealerships nationwide and a dedicated Manila warehouse for rapid parts fulfillment. This commitment to reliability is backed by the GAC Global Sales & Service Way (GSSW) standards, offering comprehensive warranties of up to five years for internal combustion vehicles and eight years for EVs, alongside two years of free roadside assistance for all new owners.

ReplyDeleteChinese does things differently as compared with the likes of Japanese and Korean. What I really don't like with Chinese is they copy a lot especially with the design language. Mechanical wise, it's a totally different story.

Fancy gimmicky and selling below cost(heavily subsidized by CCP) can capture market share for a while but for long term growth - quality and reliability is the key.
