Volvo Philippines Introduces V60 Cross Country

Built for lovers of design, nature, and adventure, Volvo Philippines is introducing the V60 Cross Country for the Philippine market. With an increased ground clearance and ride height, the Cross Country offers unparalleled control both on and off the beaten track. And now, with torque vectoring technology and corner traction control, it also benefits from a sporty driving experience.

The V60 Cross Country features front and rear skid plates, side scuff plates, and fender extenders to go with the increased ride height. New 17-inch alloy wheels with high profile tires add comfort and off-road aesthetics perfect for negotiating curbs or rocky roads. The exterior also benefits from unique cross country design cues such as the honeycomb grille, gloss black greenhouse, gloss black mirror caps, and the Cross Country emblem in the rear skid plate.

Inside, it stays true to its Scandinavian design heritage using authentic materials such as wood and leather (a Piano Black deco is available as an option). The exquisite detailing continues to the jewel-like knobs in the center stack and a frameless rear view mirror. For parents, it comes with integrated booster cushion for children. The boosters pop up from the seat base giving a comfortable and safe ride height for children three years upward.

It also comes with Sensus Connect infotainment system wired up to a top-of-the-line Premium Sound system with a 5x130W amplifier with the Dirac Live sound enhancement software and 12 speakers.

Versatility is the name of the game for the V60 Cross Country with its 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats adding to the already generous 430 liters of luggage space. Of course, the front seats still benefit from an ergonomically-correct construction allowing the front occupants to stay firmly in place while cornering at speed or tackling a rocky trail.

Powering the V60 Cross Country is Volvo’s D4 Drive-E engine. This 190 horsepower diesel engine blends both efficiency and performance. An 8-speed automatic is standard with a manual shift override.

Other features include Volvo’s Intellisafe, Active High Beam Control, City Safe, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), and Cross Traffic Alert.

  1. Price? Volvo cars are cheaper yet more or less as capable as their German counterparts.
