BEMAC E-Trikes Used in Quezon City Officials' Oath Taking
The QC Administration, in partnership with BEMAC Electric Transportation Philippines, Inc. (BEMAC), provided twenty (20) e-Trikes to transport the guests and participants around the QC Memorial Circle during the oath taking of duly-elected officers last June 30.
Led by Mayor Herbert Bautista, Vice-Mayor Josefina Belmonte, and thirty six newly-elected City Councilors, the oath taking took place at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
These units are part of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) project “Verification Survey with the Private Sector for Disseminating Japanese Technologies for Environmentally-Friendly Urban Transportation Systems Using Electric Tricycles” that will soon be implemented in Quezon City.
JICA has been an active partner in numerous infrastructure and transport projects in the country. BEMAC, the e-Trike manufacturer in the Philippines, also has roots in Japan, and has similarly been working with various local government units in promoting clean and sustainable alternative transportation.
